Step 1: Make your flowers on little parchment squares (You can just cut your parchment sheets into strips, then squares). Place them on a sheet tray to refrigerate or freeze. (You can move them easier without breaking them if they are frozen)
Step 2: Ice your cupcakes a color of your choice. I used a pale green buttercream. Using a mini offset metal spatula, smooth out your icing and brush to the edge of the cupcake to reach the liner to have a completely covered surface domed in the center.
Step 3: Lay your tissue paper out flat and place your foam in the center, pull the sides of the tissue paper to meet in the center then place it inside the vase. Adjust to your liking.
Step 4: Start attaching your cupcakes in the foam with the skewers. arrange them as close together as possible so the foam isn't showing.
Step 5: Start placing your flowers onto the cupcakes. Don't be afraid to layer flowers over each other, as it just adds a little realism to the look. Using the same buttercream you used to cover your cupcakes, you will need to use this as 'glue' to attach your flowers to the cupcakes.
