The package has full step-by-step mixing instructions and a QR code for a how-to video. Key quantities for one 2 lb bag (6 cups of mix):
- Makes three 8 x 2 in. pans
- Add 2⅔ cups water (21.2 oz) and ½ cup oil (3.8 oz)
- Spray each pan with non-stick spray and fill it halfway, about 18 oz of batter per 8 x 2 in. round pan
- Bake at 325°F for 25 to 30 minutes, or until cooked through the middle
Storage & shelf life
Shelf life: 8 to 12 months from the date of manufacture.
To get the full shelf life of the dry mix, store it in a cool, dark, dry pantry. Because the bags are large, once a bag is opened keep any unused mix tightly sealed, or move it to an airtight container, to keep humidity out and prevent the leavening agents from degrading.
