-24 Puff Pastry Squares
-1 Egg
-2lbs Ground Beef
-2 Small Bell Peppers (Chopped)
-1 Anaheim Pepper (Chopped)
-1 Small Onion
-4 Minced Garlic Cloves
-2 Tsp Mexican Oregano
-2 Tsp Thyme
-2 Tsp Parsley
-2 Tsp Basil
-2 Tsp Paprika
- 1-2 Tsp Crushed Peppers
-1 Tsp Garlic Powder
-2 Tsp Salt
-2 Cups of Mozzarella Cheese
-Oil
PROCEDURE
- Chop your onion, anaheim pepper, bell peppers, and garlic cloves.
- Set your stove to medium-high heat.
-Add a small amount of oil. Let the oil heat up.
-Add in your bell peppers and anaheim pepper. Let them cook for about 5 minutes.
-Add in the chopped onion and cook for another 3 minutes.
-Add in the two pounds of ground beef, minced onion, and all your other spices. Mix together well. Let it cook for about 10 minutes or until fully brown. Set aside
-Set your puff pastry squares in a baking sheet with parchment paper. Add about 2-3 spoons of ground beef and 1 spoon of cheese in the center. Then, add your egg wash to the edges of your puff pastry squares. Fold over in half to make your turnover. Add some egg wash to the top of the turnovers.
-Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes of until golden brown.
