Father's Day Chocolate Chip Cake

Papa's day is right around the corner and we've got just what you need to celebrate. Make a chocolate chip cake with the help of BakersExpress! Here's what you'll need:

Ingredients:

• 1 3/4 cup 50EXPRESS® All Purpose Flour
• 3/4 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 2 1/2 tsp 50EXPRESS® Vanilla Flavor
• Mustache Candy Sprinkles
• 1 1/2 cup Chocolate Cookie Drops Semi-Sweet 1000CT
• 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
• 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
• 1/4 cup Granulated White Satin Sugar
• 9x3 Round Pan
• 10" silver drum
• 50EXPRESS® Regular Buttercream
• 50EXPRESS® Gel Color-Royal Blue
• 50EXPRESS® Gel Color-Lime Green
  
• Tip 824
• Tip 21
• 50EXPRESS® Tipless Bags

Procedure

1. In a bowl, mix your dry ingredients and set aside (Mix 1 3/4 cups of all purpose flour, 3/4 tsp baking soda, and 1/2 tsp salt).
   
2. In your mixing bowl, mix 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, 3/4 cup of brown sugar, and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar on low speed for 1 minute. Scrape your bowl and add 1 egg and 2 1/2 tsp vanilla. Mix well for 2 minutes and scrape your bowl once again.
3. Add your dry ingredients and mix until combined. Add 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips.
4. Spray your pan with Pan Release Baking Spray and place your cookie dough in the pan. Start to spread it by pressing down with your hand. Make sure to spread your dough evenly. Sprinkle more chocolate chips on top.
5. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees.
6. Let your cookie cool down and flip it over twice to place onto your board (drum).
7. Place 50EXPRESS® Buttercream in two separate deli cups and color them using 50EXPRESS® Gel Colors. Place each color in a 50EXPRESS® Tipless Bag and use tip 824 and tip 21 to create your design on the edge of the cake. Once you have piped your cake, add your sprinkles and small details. Place your Father's Day topper in the middle of the cookie.
